Care & Tips

When burning your Seven Salvere candle for the first time, allow it to burn for at least 2-3 hours, or until the melted wax reaches the edge of the container. This helps prevent tunnelling and ensures an even burn.

To maximize the burn time of your soy wax candle:
- Trim the wick to 1/4 inch before each use.
- Burn the candle for 2-4 hours at a time.
- Keep the candle away from drafts, vents, and air currents.

A wet or oily layer on top of your soy wax candle is known as "sweating," and it's a natural occurrence, especially in warm environments. It's due to the natural oils in the soy wax. Simply wipe off the excess oil with a paper towel before burning.

Troubleshooting

Tunnelling occurs when a candle burns down the centre, leaving wax around the edges. This can happen if the candle isn't allowed to burn long enough for the wax to melt to the edges. To fix tunnelling, let the candle burn longer during each use to allow the entire surface to melt evenly.

White spots or "frosting" on your candle are a natural characteristic of soy wax and occur when the natural wax crystals realign. It doesn't affect the performance or scent of the candle.

An uneven burn can be caused by not allowing the candle to burn long enough for the wax to melt evenly, drafts or air currents disrupting the flame, or an improperly trimmed wick. Always keep the wick trimmed to 1/4 inch.
